Gray Hair, Don't Care... Sharon Osbourne's Focus Is Warding Off Obesity
Sharon Osbourne is known for her bright and bold red hair as much as she’s famous for sharing her no holds barred opinions about nearly any topic.
While she’s still plenty outspoken, her high-octane hair color has taken a back seat.
Osbourne recently decided to ditch the dye and go for an all-natural “platinum gray” look, freeing herself from weekly color jobs and touch-ups.
Too Much Time Wasted With Her Beauty Routine
The high-maintenance ‘do became a drag for this lovely co-host of The Talk, so she finally decided it was enough already.
Osbourne said, “I love the freedom it has given me. I’ve got nothing to prove. It’s not like I’m trying to look younger. I’m just trying to look my best.”
From Glam To Gray
The new shade is quite a shock, and even Osbourne herself sometimes does a double-take when she sees her reflection in the mirror. Fans will have to get used to it too, but the gray does suit her, and the cut is quite stylish. As many others are taking this quarantine time to change up their look, Osbourne will fit right in.
Body Image Issues
It’s a good thing Osbourne is OK with gray. She recently had some controversial things to say about women’s bodies, so it seems like hair color is an easy pass.
Osbourne argued that plus-size women can’t truly be happy in their own skin at a larger size, even if they say they are. She was overweight for a time, and pretended to be happy when she really was not, and believed that other women in her shoes would feel the same way.
Obviously, this notion is outlandish, and Osbourne received backlash. She is entitled to her opinion, but she can’t speak for others.
Regardless of Osbourne’s comments, her more natural-looking hair will probably get rave reviews. Change is always good, especially when it gives her more time to be productive without being tied down to her hairdresser’s chair.
